It’s Taco Tuesday ya’ll, and I’m super excited today, because we got to try Siete’s (fairly new) crunchy taco shells! If you’ve ever tried their soft almond or cassava flour tortillas, you’re going to love the crunchy version as well.
This is another meal prep recipe that can be made ahead of time and assembled the day of and makes a good, interactive taco dinner party too. The taco shells remind me of when I was a kid and we used to buy the El Paso hard corn taco shells, but this version is even better, because the ingredients are legit clean.

Crunchy Beef Tacos
Equipment
- Large non-stick skillet
- Wooden spoon
- Cutting board
- Knife
Ingredients
- 1 package Siete Grain Free Taco Shells
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 large orange or yellow bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ – ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp cumin powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2-3 cups chopped lettuce (butter lettuce or romaine)
- 1-2 avocados, diced
- non-dairy sour cream (for serving)
- lime wedges (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat non-stick skillet over medium heat and add avocado oil.
- Add chopped onions and bell peppers to the pan and saute until vegetables are soft.
- Add ground beef to the pan and season with dry ingredients; using a wooden spoon, mix thoroughly to combine and cook until brown. Cool for 5 minutes in a bowl before serving.
- To assemble the taco, add 2 tablespoons of ground beef, top with shredded lettuce and chopped avocado. Garnish with fresh limes and non-dairy sour cream or plain yogurt and enjoy!
