We’re big meat eaters around here, and we love our ribs. And we love this recipe in particular, because it’s the easiest and tastiest way to make ribs! We’ve tried all the cooking methods, and this method by far is the most efficient way of making ribs – and it cuts the cooking time in half.
The ribs turn out super moist, almost fall off the bone, and you can still get that charcoal effect using your broiler or grill at the end to achieve that grilled/BBQ finish.
And the best part of this recipe, is that you can make it any time of the year!
We hope you enjoy this recipe, and if you end up making it, please leave a comment below and let us know what you think!
We’d also love to see your creation via Instagram, so be sure to tag me @fullasamother and hash tag #fullasamother. I’d love to feature you in my IG stories.

Instant Pot Pork Ribs
Equipment
-
Electric Pressure Cooker
Ingredients
- 1 rack baby back pork ribs
- 1 ½ cups of your favorite BBQ sauce
- Sea salt and pepper
- Garlic powder
Instructions
-
Season both sides of the ribs with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
-
Apply a thin layer of BBQ sauce to each side of the ribs using a pastry brush
-
In your electric pressure cooker, add 1 to 1 ½ cups of water to the bottom of the pot. Place the wire metal grate at the bottom of the pot, and stand the ribs up on it’s side on top of the metal grate (so that the ribs are pointing down towards the pot, and the ribs are wrapped against the side of the pot forming a wide U-shape). Cut the slab of ribs in half if they don’t fit around the perimeter of the pot.
-
Cook the ribs on high pressure for 30-35 minutes.
-
Remove the ribs from the pot and place the rack of ribs on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Re-baste the ribs with BBQ sauce on both sides and broil in the oven on the middle rack for about 5 mins, just until you get a gold brown, caramelized color at the top.
-
Cut and serve!
