Gluten-free & Paleo Fridge Tour

What’s good my friends?! It’s a 3-day weekend for us and it’s also Father’s day weekend, so I stocked up the fridge and decided to do a fridge tour and show you how I organize & stock my fridge. Everything in this fridge tour is gluten-free and/or paleo-friendly, and real-food products with clean ingredients.

TIPS FOR ORGANIZING THE FRIDGE

  • Keep the like with the like: If possible organize and store the same products together from the same food groups. This will help you identify what you have and will hopefully prevent food waste.
  • For fresh fruits and vegetables, I generally wash the produce in a large bowl with warm water and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, then I rinse, dry and store in a glass container lined with a paper towel to absorb moisture.
  • For storage containers, I like to use mason jars, Snapware or Pyrex glass storage containers, and Stasher reusable food storage bags.
  • Place all your leftovers and meal prepped meals in one area and label them with an expiration date or the date the meals were prepared to help you identify when the food has gone bad or what you should eat before it goes bad!

FRIDGE STAPLES (from top to bottom):

  • Top shelf: Fresh herbs like green onions, dill, and parsley that I wash, dry, and trim and store in a mason jar with water to ensure the herbs last longer.
    • Baby spinach and kale which I typically purchase from Trader joes and I typically store in glass tupperware with a paper towel at the bottom to absorb excess moisture.
    • Bread SRSLY gluten-free sourdough bread – one of our favorite gluten-free bread brands with clean ingredients. We love how this brand offers different varieties of sourdough, some of our favorites being the classic sourdough, cinnamon & raisin sourdough, and the sourdough bread rolls.
    • Condiments: A few of our favorite brands are Tessemae’s ranch dressing, ketchup, and BBQ sauce, Nom Nom Paleo’s sriracha sauce, Siete’s hot sauce, Yai’s Thai sweet chili sauce, Trader Joe’s tomato paste and aleppo sauce, and Costco’s Kirkland maple syrup (grade A)
  • Middle shelf:
    • Fresh fruit: Organic strawberries, black berries, grapes – I try to buy what’s in season, but living in California, we’re so lucky to have access to all sorts of produce that’s not in season!
    • Trader Joes: Vegan tzatziki dip, vegan cashew, kale, and basil pesto, organic hummus sauce, organic and grass fed plain, whole-milk yogurt (not pictured), Fort Point India Pale Ale (mainly for guests)
  • Bottom shelf:
    • Pasture raised eggs, macadamia nuts, truffled marcona almonds, coconut whipped cream, tahini butter, cherry tomatoes, leftover oatmeal, avocados, and nectarines
  • Meat & Cheese drawer: Butcher Box chicken thighs & bacon, Atkins Ranch New Zealand grass fed lamb leg steak, Trader Joe’s fully cooked pork belly, Truestory honey glazed ham, Applegate farms roasted turkey, Trader Joes dairy free cheddar cheese slices and mozzarella shreds, and organic string cheese, Baby Bel mozzarella cheese
  • Produce drawer: Trader Joes organic micro greens, jicama wraps, carrots, lemons, limes, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, baby kale, shredded cabbage, green & yellow zucchini, organic cremini mushrooms
  • Fridge door: Violife dairy-free cream cheese, Miyokos vegan butter, Trader Joes New Zealand grass fed butter & super fruit spread, Trader Joe’s chicken bone broth, Nut Pods Creamer (vanilla and cinnamon swirl flavors), Perfect Bars dark chocolate & almond butter, Ripple pea protein milk, Forager dairy-free cashew, oat, and coconut milk, GT Synergy kombucha, Healthade Booch pop, Pom pomegranite juice, and Once Upon a Farm fruit & smoothie pouches

That’s all for now! I hope you find this fridge tour helpful and feel free to leave a comment or question below. Don’t forget to tag me via Instagram @fullasamother #fullasamother with your latest and greatest grocery haul – I’d love to see and hear about it.

XO,

Jasmine
